5 Question Friday - June 4

1. If you could go back to college would you change your major? Or, if you were to go to college right now...what major would you choose?

The thought of going back to college again seriously scares me. I couldn't figure out what I wanted to do the first time around, which is why it took me 9 years and over 200 credit hours. And that was just my undergrad. (Which wound up being Liberal Studies due to the fact that I wanted to learn about just about everything and decided after 9 years that enough was enough and needed to just find a way to graduate already!) My masters was Internet Marketing, and that was great and I have definitely put what I learned to good use, but if I could go back, without a doubt, I would major in Education. My dream has always been to teach elementary school kids, and I don't know why I didn't pursue it before. (Probably because everyone said teachers don't get paid well!)

2. What do you love most about your home?

We just moved into the house we're renting about a month ago, and I love many things about it, but most of all, I love our gigantic fenced in back yard. It's an older house in an older neighborhood, before they started building all of these zero lot line properties in Orlando, so there is tons of room for Angelica to run around and scream and yell and otherwise burn off all of her toddler energy.

3. What types of books do you like to read (if you like to read at all)?

I love to read and I miss being able to read as much as I used to in the B.A. (Before Angelica) days. I don't think there's really a specific genre I love, though romance novels are definitely at the bottom of the list. I mainly read the classics, but after taking a few creative writing classes in college, I grew to love reading new fiction as well. In recent years, I've loved The Unthinkable Thoughts of Jakob Green (Joshua Braff), A Heartbreaking Work of Staggering Genius (Dave Eggers), Tuesdays with Morrie (Mitch Albom) and Running With Scissors (Augusten Burroughs). Harry Potter and the Twilight series are also guilty pleasures.

4. What is the grossest thing you've ever eaten?

In my pre-vegetarian days I once tried to make chicken cutlets, but the chicken didn't defrost all the way so the middle was still frozen. That was pretty gross.

5. If you HAD to be a character on a TV show, whom would you be?

Jillian Michaels. Need I say why?

You gotta love big back yards for the little ones! I had the same answer.

Oh, and raw chicken makes me gag, so I'm totally with you on that grossness!

My daughter is about to start college and will be studying Music Education. She could be ANYTHING in the world but she wants to teach young children about music. She knows she won't make much money but her passion is music and she wants to teach. I truly believe everyone should study and pursue their passion or they will never be happy.

I'm your newest Follower from Friendly Friday. I wanted to say hello and share some comment lo♥e.

I would be honored if you would take a minute to check out my blog and follow me, too, if you like what you see.

I hope your weekend is amazing!

Blessings,
