This is week 1!
On January 1st this year I weighed in at 257. Yup. All that hard work I did in 2010 was pretty much UNDONE by the end of the year. I started 2010 off at 261 and got down to 243...then back up to 257? Not good.

I also got 7/9 of the way through Couch to 5k last summer. And then got sick for a week and who knows what happened after that? Anyway, I literally ran my butt off through THE hottest part of the summer and saw tremendous health benefits from it...then when the weather was nice, I quit? I laugh at myself for that!
So January 1, I started over with week 1 of Couch to 5k. The goal is that by the middle of March, I'll be able to complete a 5k. I've already picked one to participate in so I just have to work my way toward it. But, this is where the name of this weight loss series comes from. I am literally going to run my fat butt off.
In addition to completing a 5k by March, I want to reach a healthy BMI by December 31st. It is currently 41.5. In order to reach a healthy BMI, I'll need to reach 154. If you're doing the math, that's 103 lbs. That's two pounds a week. Doable, right? And a healthy rate of weight loss, too.

Hi! I tried to link up but I don't see anything happening so I'm not sure what's going on. Here are my stats:

Good luck to you!
I love this post. It is goal driven and open to all. I wish you the best of luck. My wife worked really hard with her running goals. It's tough but will be worth it.
All the best

Let me know if you ever want to run/walk/jog together. Maybe we can schedule some time once a week or something. I am making a big effort to get on a regular exercise routine again.
