Five Question Friday 2/18/11

Ahh, it's finally Friday! Things have been quite crazy in this house all week...I've been flying solo all week while Scott was away on business. He was away this time last year and I survived it (but stressed -- because Angelica was a year and a half and a "handful")...this year I stressed even more because Angelica is now two and a half and a REAL handful! (Seriously, what did I know last year??) Thank goodness Scott is home today, though!

Life has been good otherwise this week too! I've seen some projects I've been working on for awhile starting to come to into their own. I am so ready for the weekend though, especially now that our little family is back together again!

On to the Five Question Friday fun!

1. Have you worn the same outfit more than one day in a row?
Yes but with good reason! I was living in Connecticut, it was December, and I had the flu. It was AWFUL. I had a super high fever and was in terrible pain because of it, it was in the single digits outside, and I had the windows open, a fan on, and was wearing the only tank top and shorts that weren't packed away for the winter... just trying in desperation to get comfortable...and I LIVED IN THEM until that fever broke.

2. If you had to choose any LARGE city to live in, which would it be?
Well, technically I live in a suburban area of a LARGE city now, but if I had to pick one, I'd say Austin, TX.

3. Fly or drive with the kids on vacation?
Tough call...flying is certainly faster...but driving would probably be cheaper. So I'll go with driving.

4. What is your idea of "spring cleaning"?
Scrubbing and disinfecting everything from ceiling to floor...and purging. Once a year I go through and just throw away/recycle/donate a TON of stuff I don't use. It's amazing how much crap accumulates over time.

5. What is the best book you have ever read?
Way of the Peaceful Warrior by Dan Millman. A friend recommended it to me when I was in my late teens and going through an awful break-up (and let's face it, in your teens, what isn't an awful break-up?) It's a very esoteric but spiritual book that had a really terrible movie based on it a few years ago. The book's tagline is "A book that changes lives." A pretty bold statement, maybe even a bit cheesy, but having read it, I can say without a doubt that it changed mine. My copy is dog-eared, highlighted and has sticky notes all over it.

Thanks for stopping by the blog today, and have a great weekend everyone!

Hi!

I'm a new follower from 5QF! :)

I also went through a terrible break-up in my teens. (The ONLY terrible break-up of my life!) I went on to have a brief 'stop-gap' relationship before meeting my Hubby!! We've been together 20 years now.
:)

Have a great weekend!
