If you're like most parents (myself included), you're concerned with making sure that the foods you feed your child go the extra mile in providing nutrition. When it comes to snacks, that can be especially challenging. If your kid is like mine, he or she probably enjoys things that are sugar-laden and generally unhealthy.

Fortunately, with Buddy Fruits, you can get away from the added sugar and high fructose corn syrup and provide your child with a healthy snack with no sugar added!

I recently received a set of Buddy Fruit packages for my family to sample. We received both the Pure Blended Fruit to Go and the Pure Fruit Bites. Both types provide one full serving of fruit per package with no sugar added, no preservatives, and nothing artifical added. The fruit bites have 95 calories per serving and the blended fruit has 50 calories per serving.

These are just a few of the samples we received.

The blended fruits come in varieties such as: Apple, Apple and Strawberry, Apple and Banana, Apple and Cinnamon, Mango Passion and Banana, and Apple and Multifruit. The fruit bites come varieties such as: Pomegranate and Acai, Apple, and Orange.

To give you an idea of just how natural these products are, the Apple & Banana blended fruit's ingredients are: Apple, banana, concentrated apple juice, and lemon juice. That's it! The fruit bites are generally the same ingredients - juice concentrates with fruit pectin, natural flavor and a glazing agent.

The Blended Fruit is also free of dairy and gluten, and both types are free of GMOs (genetically modified organisms), artificial colors, dairy, and fat. That means that these products also qualify as vegetarian! (My animal loving heart is jumping for joy!)

Both packages are resealable so if your kiddo doesn't finish the package all at once, or he or she wants to come back to it multiple times while playing, you can just close it right up to keep it from spilling or getting contaminated.

The fruit bites packages are also BPA free! I'm always glad to see more products coming on the market that are eliminating the use of BPA.

Angelica is a big fan of gummies, so she loves the Buddy Fruits fruit bites.

She isn't as much of a fan of the blended fruit, but surprisingly, my husband likes them and takes them to work as part of his lunch. It make sense -- it's an easy way for grown-ups to get a serving of fruit into their diets as well.

Buddy Fruits can be purchased at many grocery stores -- I've seen them at our local Publix as low as $1 per package on sale!
