Sunday afternoon I came down with a migraine. I think we were just out in the sun too long. I woke up and still had it on Monday, and it got worse as the day went on.
After work, I picked up Angelica at daycare and we were driving to church (Scott and I go to a young adults meeting a couple times a month) and while I was stopped at a traffic light, I rubbed my eyes and muttered to myself, "Ugh my head hurts."
Little did I know that Angelica was listening...she piped up from the backseat, with concern in her voice, and said, "It's going to be okay, mama, it's going to be okay."
But folks, it doesn't end there.
I reached back and patted her leg and said, "Thank you honey, that's so sweet." She took my hand and said, "Mama, I have to hold your hand so it'll make you feel better."
Get me a mop, I need to clean up this little puddle my heart just melted into.
