Tell Us Something Good - Pirate & Princess Party

Angelica's Awesome Adventures

It's Tuesday! Come tell us something GOOD that's going on in your life this week! The rules are easy...just make a post on your blog about something that made you smile this week, then come back and add YOUR "Tell Us Something Good" post to the linky below! If you want to share the button, you can grab it from the box at the top of this post too.

This past Friday we attended the Baby Boogie Bash Pirate & Princess Party at Amaya Papaya. For added fun, our friend Samantha brought her two little cuties, Aidan (age 3) and Peyton (18 months), and together, our three kids had a blast!

For those who aren't local (and therefore not familiar with Amaya Papaya), it's a local indoor kids playground that is locally owned and operated by another mom, so I LOVE to support them. The Baby Boogie Bash is:
The Baby Boogie Bash (East Coast) is a dance party featuring music from the 80's, 90's, and today. No Nursery Rhymes just real jams (appropriate of course) that will get your feet moving and booty grooving. We have scarves, hula hoops and music toys for the kids to use while they rock it on the dance floor. So grab the kids, put on your best dance SOCKS and come enjoy the disco lights, music and company.

5% of the proceeds made from each month's Baby Boogie Bash will go to benefit a local charity.

This month, the money went to Get Pumped, a local non-profit milk bank which collects breast milk for families in need (for example, if the mom passes away and the baby cannot tolerate formula, they provide breast milk for the baby from their milk bank). I'm pro-breastfeeding (even though it didn't work out for us) so I was glad that the proceeds went to Get Pumped.

Now, onto the fun! Angelica dressed up as a princess, and Scott and I dressed as pirates. Aidan was also dressed as a pirate, and Peyton was dressed as a princess. The kids seemed to have a GREAT time, and we danced, ate pretzels and mini cupcakes, and Angelica got her face painted (by another local vendor, Ooh La La Face Painting, also owned by a stay at home mom).

I haven't gone through all of the pictures of the fun yet, but I did come across this one when I was skimming through and I just think this is priceless...(and seriously, doesn't Ooh La La Face Painting do a fantastic job?)

My princess kitty!
