Five Question Friday - 4/6/12

Happy Easter everyone! Okay, so it's not Easter yet, but I won't be blogging before then so let that serve as your Easter greeting. We've got a fun weekend planned, full of Easter egg hunts and Easter bunny visits. We're really looking forward to it!

It's also Five Question Friday -- so here we go!

1. Would you prefer having people over for dinner or going to their house?
I love, love, love to entertain. I wish I could do it more! So I guess I prefer having people over. Plus, it makes it easier for me to get Angelica to bed on time :)

2. Favorite Bible verse and why?

I preface this by saying -- we are Unitarian Universalists, not Christians, and I subscribe more to the athiest/humanist side of spirituality and reject the idea of heaven vs. hell. But I am a big, big fan of Matthew 5-7, otherwise known as the Sermon on the Mount. The "kingdom of heaven" parts aside, I think the generalized sentiment of the verse, which I interpret as "doing good is its own reward" is a good one. I see so many selfish, judgmental people who think only about what's best for them and not best for everyone, or what they can do to look good in the eyes of others and that makes me sad.

3. What was the first concert you ever attended, and the most recent one?

Collective Soul at Sea World, in 1994, right before I turned 14. Most recent? I think Better Than Ezra at House of Blues about 2 years ago.

4. The year is 2025. What are you doing, and what have you done?

Hopefully advanced to a management or director level in my career, have one child about to graduate high school and potentially another ready to enter high school (said child is not yet conceived...hence the "potentially").

5. What's your favorite Easter treat?

Robin's Eggs and Cadbury Caramel Eggs. YUM!

Cadbury Caramel Eggs...Yum is right! In fact, the Easter Bunny should probably go ahead and bring me one or two of those on Sunday. :-)

I wish we could come over for dinner! Soon...
